Automatic Cc / Bcc
Each connected account can add one address to BCC or CC when you send from the full compose window.
Turn it on
Section titled “Turn it on”- Settings → Composer → Auto BCC.
- Open the account.
- Enable Enable Auto BCC.
- Choose Field: BCC or CC.
- Enter the Address.
The rule is stored on this Mac per account.
There is no New messages only checkbox. When enabled, the address is added on new mail, reply, reply all, and forward from full compose, and on Send Later from that window.
What it does not cover
Section titled “What it does not cover”- Inline reply in the reader
- Compact compose send
Use full compose if the extra address must go out.
When the address is added
Section titled “When the address is added”Primail adds the address when you send or schedule, after the recipients you typed. Changing From or Account uses the rule for the mailbox that will send.
Removing the Auto BCC chip from To, Cc, or Bcc does not skip the rule for that message. The address is added again at send.
Duplicates are skipped only inside the same field:
- A BCC rule is skipped if that address is already in Bcc, or is the sending account’s own address.
- A CC rule is skipped if that address is already in Cc, or is the sending account’s own address.
An address already in To does not stop a BCC or CC rule.
To leave the extra address off one message, turn Auto BCC off for that account, send, then turn it back on.
Errors
Section titled “Errors”A bounce is a normal send or delivery-unknown problem. There is no special Auto BCC banner.
Sending to a receive-only mailbox as BCC is ordinary delivery. Sending from a receive-only account is blocked. See Account roles.
Agents
Section titled “Agents”MCP email_send does not read this setting and has no
skip_auto_ccbcc flag. Agent sends only include the recipients
you pass. See the MCP tool reference.
