Rich text & Markdown formatting
Full compose and compact compose use a rich-text body. The formatting toolbar appears when the body is focused and stays in layout when it is hidden so the attachment row does not jump.
Inline reply is plain text.

There are no heading buttons, task lists, code-block buttons, undo/redo buttons on the toolbar, or syntax-highlighted fences.
⌘⇧V pastes as plain text in the focused editor.
What you can type
Section titled “What you can type”The editor can turn some typing into bold, italic, lists, or a
quote. Do not rely on a published Markdown cheat sheet. Typed
# Heading, task-list - [ ], and ```lang
highlighting are not toolbar features and are not documented
here as supported shortcuts.
Outgoing HTML is the editor’s HTML. Primail does not promise that every pasted style will be kept.
Quoted mail in a full compose reply is sanitized separately, and remote images in the quote follow the image-privacy rules. Inline reply does not insert that quote. See Reply, forward, and quote and What leaves your device.
